The 21st National Conference on Artificial Intelligence (AAAI'06) offered a variety of programs for AI practitioners and researchers. In this talk I speak about AAAI'06 tracks and share experience of its major events. I present the results on evaluation measures of Machine Learning reported at the AAAI workshop The empirical evaluation of algorithms and classifiers is a matter of on-going debate between researchers. Although most measures in use today focus on a classifier's ability to identify classes correctly, in certain cases, other properties, such as failure avoidance or class discrimination may also be useful. The measures which evaluate such properties-- Youden's index, likelihood, Discriminant power -- are used in medical diagnosis.
