For the past decades, linguistic resources of various kinds have been developed based on different linguistic theories and aiming at providing solutions for different academia and/or industry problems. From parsers to question answering systems, from annotated corpora to electronic dictionaries, and from grammar models to digital teaching materials, resources have been playing a key role in the recent developments in Language Technology and Teaching. In this talk, we discuss how the lexicon and the constructicon being developed at FrameNet Brasil Lab can contribute to the development of three computational solutions: a multilingual knowledge base for Tourism, a syntactic-semantic parser and a repository of genre-driven teaching materials for Brazilian Portuguese.
